Vijay Sethupathi, renowned for his versatility, is one of the most accomplished actors in the Indian film industry, with over 50 films to his name, many of which have been highly successful. His journey to stardom began with his first lead role in Seenu Ramasamy's Thenmerku Paruvakatru (2010), followed by his first major hit, Pizza (2012). Initially starting out as a background actor, Vijay Sethupathi has carved a niche for himself through unconventional roles, portraying protagonists, antagonists, and unique characters alike, ultimately establishing himself as a star who holds a distinct place in Indian cinema.
Vijay Sethupathi is one of the most versatile actors in the film industry and has acted in more than 50 films, where many of them have been very successful. His first lead role was in 2010 Seenu Ramasamy's Thenmerku Paruvakatru and his first blockbuster Pizza in 2012.

Vijaya Gurunatha Sethupathi Kalimuthu, professionally known as Vijay Sethupathi was born on 16 January 1978 in Rajapalayam, Tamilnadu. Soon, the family shifted base to Kodambakkam, Chennai and Vijay was enrolled in MGR Higher secondary School in Kodambakkam. By his own candid admission, he was “a below-average” student in academics and had little interest for sports or extra-curricular activities.

Vijaya Gurunatha Sethupathi Kalimuthu, professionally known as Vijay Sethupathi, was born on January 16, 1979, in Rajapalayam. He grew up there before relocating to Chennai during his early school years. He attended MGR Higher Secondary School in Kodambakkam. Sethupathi has mentioned that he was a "below-average student" throughout his school years, showing little interest in sports or extracurricular activities. At the age of 16, he ventured into acting by auditioning as a junior artist for the film Nammavar (1994), but was rejected due to his short height. Despite these early setbacks, his persistence in pursuing acting eventually led to a successful career.
