Vijay Sethupathy - one of the most versatile actors in Indian film industry, has acted in more than 50 films, with many of them being successful. His first lead role was in Seenu Ramasamy's ‘Thenmerku Paruvakatru’ (2010) and his first blockbuster ‘Pizza’ (2012). Starting his acting career as a background actor, has become a popular actor by being unconventional - acting as protagonist, antagonist and character roles, and yet finding a way to establish himself and becoming a star who commands his own space in the Indian film industry.
Vijay Sethupathi is one of the most versatile actors in the film industry and has acted in more than 50 films, where many of them have been very successful. His first lead role was in 2010 Seenu Ramasamy's Thenmerku Paruvakatru and his first blockbuster Pizza in 2012.

Vijaya Gurunatha Sethupathi Kalimuthu, professionally known as Vijay Sethupathi was born on 16 January 1978 in Rajapalayam, Tamilnadu. Soon, the family shifted base to Kodambakkam, Chennai and Vijay was enrolled in MGR Higher secondary School in Kodambakkam. By his own candid admission, he was “a below-average” student in academics and had little interest for sports or extra-curricular activities.

According to a survey published by BBC Tamil, Pizza and Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom claimed the first two spots in a Best Films list, and both films competed at the 2013 Norway Tamil Film Festival.
Sethupathi won two awards, one for each film, at the Edison Awards and the Big FM Tamil Entertainment Awards.
By the end of the year, Indiaglitz.com named Sethupathi as one of 2012's best Tamil actors, and called him "the rising star of Kollywood".

Viduthalai Part - 1 - (2023)
The last but most important piece of this puzzle is Vijay Sethupathi as Vathiyar. Not much is revealed about him. But we are given a glimpse of what awaits us in the second part. We know that he stands for the oppressed. And the glimpse create enough hype for the Vathiyar character, giving us a terrific non-conventional cliff hanger.
The cast is skillfully chosen, with Soori fitting into his role with ease and Vijay Sethupathi delivering a menacing performance as Vaathiyaar with minimal screen time.
